About The Position

The EVS Event Tech provides cleaning and event-support services while delivering excellent guest service. The role involves frequent interaction with guests, answering questions, and working independently. Duties include extensive cleaning, including restrooms and toilets; using cleaning chemicals and equipment; bussing tables; setting up rooms; sweeping and mopping; emptying trash; picking up debris; vacuuming; dusting; and cleaning conference rooms. The position may also assist with coat check and direct guests to appropriate locations.

The job requires a strong working knowledge of floor-care maintenance procedures, including terrazzo cleaning and restoration, and basic computer skills. The employee must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and push or pull up to 300 pounds, and must be willing to work flexible hours coordinated with the event schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; employees hired before January 1, 2012, may qualify with completion of eighth grade.
• At least 3 years of experience in environmental services or customer service.
• Strong working knowledge of floor-care maintenance procedures, including terrazzo cleaning and restoration.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push or pull up to 300 pounds.
• Willingness to work flexible hours in coordination with the event schedule.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of related event setup or housekeeping experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer guest questions and interact with guests.
• Clean restrooms, toilets, and other areas using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Bus tables and help set up rooms.
• Sweep and mop floors; empty trash cans and lift garbage bags.
• Pick up debris, vacuum, dust, and clean conference rooms.
• Provide excellent service to guests.
• May assist with coat check and direct guests to appropriate locations.
