About The Position

The EVS Associate is responsible for maintaining general cleanliness in patient care, administrative, ancillary support, restroom, and other areas requiring Environmental Services support at the medical facilities. The role uses prescribed cleaning methods and infection-control practices, prepares service carts, and supports room readiness and emergency spill cleanup.

• Prior cleaning experience in an institution is desired but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas using prescribed methods.
• Prepare Environmental Services carts for assigned areas.
• Spot clean, dust, polish, sweep, and mop floors; clean fixtures, showers, commodes, and other assigned areas, including rooms for incoming patients.
• Remove soiled linens and change beds with clean linens.
• Assist with cleaning emergency spills observed or upon request.
• Apply proper infection-control practices and isolation techniques.
