The Position This experienced Paralegal manages a high volume of both uncontested and contested eviction files, focused on delivering efficient, accurate, and compliant legal support from pre-commencement through lockout. This role supports our attorneys by managing eviction matters across multiple jurisdictions and ensuring cases move forward without delay. This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands jurisdiction-specific eviction procedures, and can manage deadlines and filings across multiple courts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-year experience in evictions

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage uncontested and contested eviction files from intake through lockout across multiple jurisdictions
  • Draft and review Notices to Quit, petitions/complaints, judgments, warrants of eviction, motions, stipulations, and related pleadings in accordance with applicable state and local requirements
  • Coordinate filing and service of pleadings, ensuring compliance with court rules and statutory timelines
  • Prepare appearance packets, exhibits, and supporting documentation for court appearances
  • Track case milestones, deadlines, and status updates across a high-volume caseload
  • Coordinate lockouts with sheriffs, marshals, constables, or other local authorities as applicable
  • Review court orders, judgments, notifications, and decisions, and update internal systems and stakeholders accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, vendors, and court personnel regarding case status and next steps
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files and documentation
