About The Position

Diaz Anselmo & Associates P.A. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant for our Evictions department to support attorneys handling residential eviction matters, including post-foreclosure, REO, and landlord-tenant cases.

Requirements

2–4 years of Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience, preferably in evictions, foreclosure, creditor rights, real estate, or civil litigation.
Strong knowledge of legal document preparation and court filing procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Self-motivated professional who can work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with case management systems such as Perfect Practice, ICE, Tempo, ADR, or similar platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and file eviction-related legal documents, including complaints, motions, notices, and affidavits.
Manage case files and update information in firm and client systems to ensure timely case progression.
Coordinate hearings, court dates, lockouts, and other case-related activities.
Communicate with courts, clients, property managers, sheriffs, vendors, and internal departments regarding case status and deadlines.
Support attorneys with hearing preparation and case documentation.
Monitor case timelines, identify potential delays, and ensure compliance with client and court requirements.
Review billing information, fees, and costs for accuracy.
Maintain organized electronic and physical case files.
Provide team support and collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient case resolution.
