Everyday Substitute Teacher for the District 2026-2027
About The Position
Webster Groves School District is hiring everyday substitute teachers for the 2026–2027 school year. Substitute teachers cover absences of regular teaching staff, follow and communicate lesson plans left by the permanent teacher, establish and maintain appropriate classroom behavior, and create a respectful and fair climate for all students. Other duties may be assigned by the school principal. Available schedules include five-day and four-day substitute teacher positions. Pay is $165 per day with substitute certification or $175 per day with teacher certification. Applicants must have a valid Missouri teacher certificate, a Missouri substitute certificate, or 60 hours of college credit from an approved college or university. Newly hired personnel must obtain a new fingerprint background check with the WGSD named as the Requesting Agency; instructions are provided after a successful interview. Applications are accepted until the position is filled.
