About The Position

The Campus Affairs Commission (CAC) seeks to implement and support programming and advocacy avenues for undergraduate students in the Queen’s community. The Events Support Volunteer is responsible for supporting the Events Coordinator and Events & Projects Manager with the planning and execution of large-scale and small-scale events. This role supports the Events Coordinator and other stakeholders to ensure the success of all events while providing support and guidance for smaller club events.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Events Coordinator in the planning and execution of large-scale and small-scale events
  • Provide guidance and support to clubs in planning and hosting smaller events
  • Develop and maintain event resources, including sanctioning guides, FAQs, and walkthroughs
  • Attend all training sessions to become familiar with the commission and its operations.
  • Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and attentively.
  • Maintain timely communication with the Events Coordinator.
  • Respect and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Attend and fully participate in all in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Strive to foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere for all students
  • Always serve as a representative of the AMS and its mission statement
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the CAC and the Events Coordinator
