This role involves coordinating and ensuring the success of group events. The Events Specialist will meet with group coordinators and hosts prior to functions to ensure all arrangements are satisfactory. A key responsibility is to analyze banquet event orders to understand guest needs, plan event setups, timelines, and special requirements such as buffets and action stations. The specialist will also be responsible for fulfilling and following up on special banquet event arrangements to ensure compliance. Additionally, the role requires adherence to all company policies, including safety and security procedures, reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions, and completing safety training. Maintaining a professional appearance, ensuring uniform cleanliness, protecting company assets, and upholding confidentiality are also crucial. The position involves interacting with guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their needs, and fostering positive working relationships within the team. The role also requires the ability to read and interpret various formats of information, inspect equipment, and perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
