About The Position

Coalition is seeking an Events Manager who is passionate about personal connection and precision planning. This role requires a master communicator with innovative creativity and rigorous organization to bridge the gap between brand vision and exceptional attendee experiences. The ideal candidate will lead with strategy, engineer memorable connections, and collaborate for impact with Sales, Marketing, and the Events Director to align events with core messaging and growth goals. This position is for candidates based on the East Coast (USA).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional, non-internship experience in event management, sponsorship management, and/or marketing management within a fast-paced corporate or tech event environment.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects from ideation to completion, utilizing structured frameworks to manage budgets, timelines, and high-stakes deliverables.
  • A keen eye for emerging industry and lifestyle trends, with a demonstrated ability to translate these into unique, "out-of-the-box" event experiences.
  • Expert-level proficiency in registration management, supplier negotiation, and delivering hospitality-level customer service.
  • Advanced experience with event technology platforms (e.g., Swoogo), Google Suite, Slack, and remote collaboration tools.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and present performance analytics clearly to executives.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20-30% to lead onsite execution and conduct site visits.
  • Candidates must be based on the East Coast (USA).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within hospitality, hotel sourcing and contract negotiations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end registration process, including site builds, troubleshooting, and attendee communications.
  • Coordinate the launch and ongoing updates of event mobile apps and tech integrations.
  • Maintain the accuracy of registration data and deliver regular reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to manage check-in procedures and attendee flow.
  • Identify, pitch, and secure sponsors in conjunction with the Event Director.
  • Serve as the primary contact for sponsors, managing all deliverables from contract execution through post-event follow-up.
  • Track sponsorship performance, gather feedback, and produce post-event summaries.
  • Develop and maintain rigorous planning documentation, including master timelines, schedules, and budgets.
  • Plan and manage session rooms, floorplans, signage, and decor.
  • Serve as the lead liaison to AV and IT partners for all technical requirements.
  • Oversee food and beverage, entertainment, and event shipments.
  • Conduct site visits with stakeholders as needed.
  • Lead all onsite operations for assigned events, managing setup, execution, and tear-down.
  • Deliver comprehensive event recaps and debriefs to internal stakeholders.
  • Archive event materials for future use and own issues from initiation to resolution.
  • Act as the main point of contact for internal teams, executives, and partners to ensure alignment.
  • Lead regular planning meetings, communicate critical updates, decision points, and recaps.
  • Proactively identify and escalate issues or risks to leadership.
