Autism Speaks is seeking a Spring Events Intern to support Western Pennsylvania events as part of its development team. This 10-week remote internship offers students the opportunity to gain nonprofit event-planning experience by assisting with the planning and execution of area events, including walks, 5K runs, third-party events, and other activities. The intern will develop working knowledge of event skills such as creating timelines, understanding planning processes, and conducting community outreach, with the goal of applying that experience to future career opportunities. Training and staff supervision will be provided. The role is remote, but the intern must live in the Western Pennsylvania area and have access to transportation for events or meetings when needed. The intern reports to the Director, Community Engagement – Western PA. The position requires 20 hours per week during standard business hours, with a flexible work schedule, and the student must be eligible to receive academic credit.
