About The Position

Description Scope: Support the utilization of Northwest Bible Church’s campus through coordination of custodial needs and event management. Ministry/Dept: Facilities Supervisor: Business Administrator Supervises: Events and Custodial Team Employee Type: Full Time Schedule: Monday – Friday; 40 hours/week FLSA: Exempt Environment: Office/Church Campus

Requirements

  • As a religious organization, all employees must agree to conduct themselves in a way that does not undermine or contradict the contents of the church's Doctrinal Statement and Statement on Marriage and Human Sexuality based upon its sincerely held religious beliefs, to qualify for employment with Northwest Bible Church.   • Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand, sit or walk for long periods of time.
  • College degree or 3 years' experience in related field preferred.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Team player who can motivate and lead others well.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with vendors to execute successful events and manage facility operations.
  • Experience effectively managing budgets for events and/or facility operations.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft office and the ability to learn new systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience using the Espace event management software system.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise events staff, oversee service agreements, event-related projects, and contractor activities to ensure timely and successful event execution.
  • Oversee and manage Event Services budget.
  • Manage communication and planning of all campus events and staff communications.
  • Serve as the primary facilities contact to ministry staff for specific churchwide events.
  • Attend seasonal churchwide events to assist ministry staff.
  • Process facility usage requests and agreements with outside parties.
  • Obtain required certificates of insurance and fees when appropriate.
  • Manage Events staff to complete all event set-ups and provide customer service to Events including providing weekly schedules
  • Quality control to ensure meeting and event set ups and completed and correct.
  • Process and approve events through management of event software system, Espace.
  • Provide training and support to staff for all scheduling software needs.
  • Lead weekly administration staff meeting to coordinate all future ministry needs.
  • Other job duties as required.
  • Supervise Custodial Staff, Service Agreements, Projects and Contractors.
  • Work with building manager to manage all custodial budgeted expenses.
  • Serve as the primary contact for ministries and other parties for events, work orders, and custodial needs.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, texts and other forms of communication with excellent customer service.
  • Manage daily assignments and delegation of tasks to the Custodial team members.
  • Purchase equipment and supplies needed for campus usage such as custodial, maintenance, kitchen, linens and communion.
  • Manage all custodial services ensuring that the campus is cleaned based on everyday use, keeping inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Other duties as required.
