About The Position

The Events & Email Marketing Manager, Graduate Admissions works independently to successfully create and manage up to 300 events per year across multiple locations, domestic and international, and in-person and virtual to support prospective graduate students across Babson’s growing graduate program portfolio. Serving as the primary owner of Graduate Admissions event operations and related communications, this position plays a critical role in shaping the prospective and admitted student experience. Specifically responsible for independently managing priorities, evaluating outcomes, and implementing improvements to support enrollment goals, enhance engagement, and ensure a high-quality, student-centered experience throughout the admissions lifecycle; and managing the day-to-day operations required for ensuring high-quality and diverse recruiting events as well as email communication with prospective & incoming graduate students, including event invitations and programmatic announcements. Event portfolio includes, but is not limited to, signature recruitment events, welcome events for admitted students, webinars, virtual class visits, visitor programs, and recruiting fairs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of increasingly responsible experience in events management
  • Must have strong customer service orientation and interpersonal & communication skills
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in working with a diverse student body, faculty, staff and other constituents
  • Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Ability to successfully management multiple projects simultaneously

  • Must have strong technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlooks as well as experience with Salesforce and WebEx.

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead the planning and execution of a comprehensive portfolio of global recruiting events in alignment with institutional recruitment goals and under the direction of senior leadership.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery across in‑person, virtual and on-demand formats, including content development, logistics, timelines, registration process and promotional strategies.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership for all event operations and partner engagement and serve as the primary contact for Graduate Admissions’ events.
  • Write compelling event descriptions to drive event engagement.
  • Provide day-of-logistical support for virtual events and attend in-person events as needed.
  • As new graduate programs are developed and launched, create and execute event and email promotional plans to drive conversions.
  • Lead the day-to-day execution of Graduate Admissions email marketing initiatives in alignment with enrollment goals and under the direction of senior leadership.
  • Develop, write and deploy candidate email communications—including event promotion, ad-hoc programmatic messaging, and operational announcements.
  • Exercise decision-making authority over copy development to ensure brand consistency and market relevance.
  • Build and maintain emails, data extensions, and audience queries; conduct rigorous quality assurance for targeting and content accuracy; and deploy campaigns.
  • Use available AI tools to craft and refresh email copy as needed.
  • Manage the communications calendar to deliver a cohesive, high-quality candidate experience.
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with College Marketing.
  • Develop and manage lead nurture communication strategies for 3rd-party event & partnership leads acquired by Graduate Admissions that support engagement and conversion to contacts.
  • Collaborate with the Graduate Admissions Senior Leadership team to support and execute the annual recruiting events strategy.
  • Analyze and incorporate data from available AI tools to create events and develop communication plans that meet the rapidly changing needs of candidates to increase engagement across all events ultimately helping to drive conversation from initial interest to matriculation.
  • Manage key implementation efforts that strengthen prospective student engagement and contribute to admitted student yield.
  • Coordinate inclusive and accessible in person and virtual event offerings for domestic and international audiences.
  • Apply data insights and creative approaches to adapt to market trends and enhance the candidate experience across the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Independently coordinate and manage the participation of faculty, staff, current students, and alumni to participate in Graduate Admissions events.
  • Partner with offices across the institution to identify, prepare, and showcase diverse student perspectives and experiences representing all graduate programs.
  • Maintain accurate alumni engagement records and participation data.
  • Work with Human Resources to ensure compliance with Volunteer Policy requirements and guidelines.
  • Provide speakers with content guidance and technical support and train student ambassadors and volunteers to effectively represent the institution in event‑related activities.
  • Support recruitment efforts by engaging with prospective students at events, via phone, and with walk-in visitors.
  • Provide responsive, welcoming service and appropriately transfer candidates to Enrollment Management team members to ensure a seamless, high-quality experience.
  • Hire, train, and supervise a student worker to assist with administrative event tasks and lead on-campus tours.
  • Establish priorities and manage workflows for campus visit experiences.
  • Maintain and actively contribute to the Graduate Admissions Event Guide to support consistent and efficient event execution.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.
