About The Position

George’s at Curry Mansion Inn is seeking experienced, hospitality-driven Event Bartenders to join our team on an as-needed basis. This role is ideal for bartenders looking to pick up occasional shifts for weddings, private parties, celebrations, and special events in one of Key West’s most iconic historic settings. Event Bartenders are responsible for delivering friendly, efficient service while keeping the bar organized, stocked, and running smoothly throughout each event. We’re looking for reliable team members who can step into a fast-paced event environment, read the room, and help create a memorable experience for every guest.

Requirements

  • Previous bartending experience required; event, wedding, banquet, or high-volume hospitality experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and basic bar service.
  • Friendly, dependable, professional, and comfortable interacting with a wide range of guests.
  • Ability to work efficiently and remain composed in a fast-paced event environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow event timelines, recipes, and service instructions with attention to detail.
  • Professional appearance and hospitality-driven attitude.
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Reliable transportation to and from scheduled events.
  • Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event calendar.
  • Must meet all applicable Florida requirements and company standards for responsible alcohol service.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages efficiently and consistently.
  • Provide warm, professional, and attentive service to event guests.
  • Set up event bars, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, tools, and other supplies.
  • Break down and properly close event bars following each event.
  • Follow established recipes, event menus, service standards, and event-specific instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service.
  • Monitor alcohol consumption and follow responsible alcohol service practices at all times.
  • Restock beverages, ice, glassware, and supplies as needed throughout the event.
  • Maintain proper handling, storage, and control of beverage products and bar equipment.
  • Communicate proactively with event leads, servers, and other team members throughout service.
  • Assist with additional event setup, service, or breakdown needs when necessary.
  • Help create a smooth, polished guest experience from event setup through closing.
