About The Position
The Events and Programs Specialist plans, develops, and coordinates events and programming for residents and family members. The role creates an environment that promotes wellness and fun throughout the organization. The position is part-time at Wesley Ridge in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, with a schedule of Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesdays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and rotating Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Two years of experience in social or recreational programming in a healthcare setting working with residents; dementia experience is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with demonstrated creativity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification preferred.
- Experience working with residents with dementia preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participate in planning and lead creative community events and programs of interest to residents and families.
- Organize volunteers.
- Prepare activity assessments and MDS for each resident according to regulatory requirements, and complete participation in Caretracker.
- Prepare progress notes according to regulatory standards.
- Assist with arranging transportation to events, programs, and field trips as necessary.
- Implement passive exercise and wellness programs on the nursing units.
