About The Position

The Old Globe is seeking hospitable and conscientious individuals to join our Events and Donor Suite staff to fulfill two crucial roles: event support and donor concierge services. As a Donor Suite Concierge, individuals will work shifts in the Lipinsky Family Suite, providing professional and high-quality hospitality to The Old Globe’s Circle Patron donors who are attending performances at the Globe. As a member of the Events and Suite Staff, individuals will regularly engage with the Globe’s top-level donors and must exhibit a high level of hospitality and patience. This individual must be able to manage donor issues and complaints calmly and professionally, and to fulfill a variety of roles.

Requirements

Previous hospitality, events, or customer service experience required
Weekend and evening availability required
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must possess or be willing to obtain California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification
Previous experience in the hospitality industry and weekend and evening availability is required.

Nice To Haves

Bartending and beverage service experience preferred
Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Assisting the Events Director before, during, and after donor cultivation and stewardship events
Event set-up, take-down, and clean-up
Bartending and beverage service
Greeting and assisting guests and donors
Serving as an onsite Event Lead when assigned, overseeing event logistics and operations
Following detailed event sheets and troubleshooting guest or event-related issues
Providing post-event summaries and updates to the Events Director
Working in the Lipinsky Family Suite to provide concierge-level hospitality to Circle Patron donors attending performances
Maintaining a calm, professional, and welcoming demeanor while interacting with high-level donors and guests
