About The Position

Boonsboro Country Club is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Events and Communications Manager to join our prestigious country club team. Requirements

  • Solid understanding of food and beverages and exemplary customer service skills
  • Worked in and understand private clubs, resorts or event planning
  • Clear understanding of event planning, from initial planning to execution of both small and large events, including staffing and cost management
  • Experience working with children (e.g. camps, childcare, education, recreation program)
  • Stable work history with demonstrated progressive responsibilities.
  • Comfortable working with a variety of technology and applications to be able to produce newsletters, update web pages, prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEO), and e-mail notices. Examples of the software used at the Club include, but are not limited to, MS Publisher, Adobe, Canva, JotForm, Flipsnack, Jonas and Paycom
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written. Examples of writing and promotional materials should be provided.
  • Positive, outgoing personality, who can work without supervision and be a problem solver.
  • Keen eye for marketing and attention to detail are critical to this role.
  • Team player, who can work with the team to develop, create and promote member events to exceed our members’ expectations.
  • Candidate should have experience in hospitality with an emphasis on event planning.
  • Associate’s degree (Minimum Requirement)

Nice To Haves

  • Social Media management and graphic design experience is preferred.
  • Prior private club experience is not necessary though highly desired.
  • A degree in Hospitality, Communications, or Business is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Club communications, including social media, newsletter, marketing production and execution
  • Work closely with the Food & Beverage staff, culinary team, and house committee to develop a wide range of memorable activities and events for members throughout the year
  • Plan, organize and lead age-appropriate programming for our member’s children, including activities, camps and themed events.
