Event Ticket Seller
About The Position
Daytona International Speedway is seeking Ticketing Event Staff to assist in event day ticket sales. This is an event-driven position. Shifts can range from 4-12+ hours on event days. Event Ticket Sellers sell single day event tickets to walk-up fans using a Point of Sales ticketing computer system, sell admissions to RVs and vehicles entering the infield, distribute windshield passes and wristbands, and assist with event parking by collecting fees for parking. Performs any combination of the following duties according to specific departmental guidelines: Work outdoors in changing weather conditions Flexible schedule during the event with ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays and potential holidays.
Requirements
- Must be at least (18) eighteen years of age
- Successfully pass a background and credit check
- Previous cash and credit card handling skills
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills are required
- Reliable transportation to and from the track location
Responsibilities
- Sell single day event tickets to walk-up fans using a Point of Sales ticketing computer system
- Sell admissions to RVs and vehicles entering the infield
- Distribute windshield passes and wristbands
- Assist with event parking by collecting fees for parking
- Work outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Perform basic math skills – accurately calculate cost of transactions
- Make change and issue tickets
