About The Position

This role involves maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and welcoming atmosphere of the facility, with a focus on event support and daily janitorial tasks. Responsibilities include cleaning various areas, setting up and breaking down rooms for events, and performing light maintenance. The position requires the ability to work independently, maintain a professional demeanor, and handle physical demands.

Requirements

Must be able to speak, read, and communicate effectively in English.
Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout the shift.
Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize restrooms, floors, glass, high-touch surfaces, and common areas throughout each shift.
Empty trash and recycling, restock supplies, and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility.
Monitor the facility for cleanliness, hazards, and maintenance needs.
Set up, reset, and break down rooms for programs and events.
Assist with A/V equipment and event support as needed.
Respond to spills promptly, assist staff and visitors, move furniture or equipment, and restock supplies.
Maintain entryways, sidewalks, patios, and outdoor areas, including seasonal snow and leaf removal.
Replace light bulbs, hang signage or decorations, report maintenance issues, and assist with minor repairs.
Complete a final facility walkthrough, secure the building if required, and ensure all areas are clean, safe, and ready for the next day.
