About The Position

They are seeking individuals with a hands-on mindset to help shape the future of entertainment. This freelance Event Supervisor role is responsible for managing the overall organization, planning, and staffing for all guest-facing staff operations and services to ensure world-class delivery and exceptional customer service. The role involves working with a local team of 15-20 people each night, leading local decisions for guest-facing services, and adhering to procedures set by the Global team. The position requires working onsite for load-in, event run, and strike, with prep work done from home. The schedule is approximately six days per week, typically from 14:00 to 23:30, plus meetings and reporting.

Requirements

  • At least three years previous experience managing large outdoor festivals, Illumination trails or outdoor experiential events.
  • Understands the necessity of keeping guests engaged in a fully immersive, in-world experience
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and lead others while holding them accountable for results
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to work cross functionally with all levels and teams
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations in a calm and professional manner.
  • Must have people management and interpersonal skills.

  • Must have experience in using Google Drive and the Google suite of applications including Sheets, Word, Google Meetings.
  • Visa/permits - The candidate must be able to work in the event country and achieve one of the following: (1) Already a citizen/resident in the country and is permitted to work. (2) Already in possession of a work visa/permit.

  • Current First-Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall organization, planning and staffing for guest facing operations to ensure a successful event and positive guest experience
  • Be in an event control position and communicate with all departments
  • Work with Fever Ops On-site Coordinators regarding all ticketing operations and the set up of the POS systems at each point of sale
  • Resolve customer complaints, concerns & general needs.
  • Responsible for pre-show and post-show checklists
  • Liaising with the local labor providing company for staff assigned to FOH and Retail Operations
  • Validate employee schedules and time sheets.
  • Maintain and encourage staff performance and growth over the course of the experience
  • Crew/Staff welfare- ensure shift patterns are running smoothly & breaks are implemented.
  • Management of all related work and facilities– e.g. toilets, cleaners, bins
  • Maintain & manage the on-site equipment, ensuring all health & safety standards are followed
  • Communicating with vendors to ensure smooth operations (custodian, security, F&B, Merch operator, etc)
  • Overall control of the site in the event of adverse weather conditions- ensuring all wind management and safety plans are adhered to
  • Implementation of Standard Operating Procedures across all functions, including but not limited to; Security, Medical, Car Parking, Guest Experience, Accessibility and Staffing
