About The Position

WinterWorld will feature a stadium-wide holiday lighting display, a 60-foot Ferris wheel, a holiday retail village, seasonal food and beverage offerings, the tallest Christmas tree in Richmond, special appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus, including a 12,500-square-foot outdoor ice-skating rink and a six-lane ice slide. WinterWorld is seeking energetic, reliable, and customer-focused team members to join our team at the Ice Pond/Trail.

Requirements

• Basic ice-skating skills required (figure skating, hockey, or recreational skating)
• Friendly and outgoing personality
• Ability to remain attentive in a busy environment
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Comfortable using ticket scanner systems
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout a shift
• Friendly and customer-focused attitude
• Ability to learn rental procedures quickly
• Team-oriented and dependable
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of basic first aid is a plus

Responsibilities

• Monitor skaters and maintain a safe skating environment
• Assist guests on and around the ice
• Enforce rink rules and safety procedures
• Provide excellent customer service
• Assist with general rink operations as needed
• Scan attraction ticket QR code, confirm ticket and signed waiver
• Answer guest questions and provide information
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Distribute and collect rental skates
• Assist guests with skate sizing and exchanges
• Spray and wipe down rental skates
• Maintain organization of the skate rental area
