Event Staff (Williamsburg & Hampton)
About The Position
Groovin' Gourmets, the catering division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, is seeking Event Servers and Bartenders for part-time, seasonal positions in the Williamsburg area. These roles are ideal for individuals who are energized by helping others celebrate important events and enjoy providing excellent customer service. The positions offer flexible scheduling, primarily on weekends, allowing you to choose which events to accept. Typical duties include assisting with event setup and breakdown, serving guests, answering menu questions, preparing and serving drinks, and maintaining a positive demeanor.

Responsibilities
- Assist in all aspects of set-up and break-down, including lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
- Serve guests, ensuring they have everything they need and paying attention to details.
- Become familiar with the catering menu and answer customer questions concerning food being served.
- Maintain a courteous and well-mannered demeanor throughout the event.
- Review the event worksheet before arriving at the event to be knowledgeable about the event details.
- Help unload the vehicle and set up the bar area and all appropriate glassware.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests.
- Answer questions about drink ingredients and make suggestions for different types of beverages and cocktails.
- Verify that all guests served alcohol are of the legal drinking age.
- Clean up the bar area at the end of the event.
- Pack all beer and wines back into the appropriate boxes.
- Assist with the general breakdown of the event.
