About The Position

The Events Server/Bartender is responsible for making and serving alcoholic beverages and performing Events Server functions including set-up, service, and cleanup of hotel event activities ensuring overall success and repeat business, while creating memorable experiences by providing friendly, prompt, and attentive service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum 1 year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Food Handlers card is required.
  • Proficient in English- verbal and written.
  • Must have flexible work availability- all shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Luxury hotel/fine dining experience is preferred.
  • High volume, fast-paced work environment experience preferred.
  • Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification is a plus.
  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Attend to guest needs and requests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Properly follow recipes to make and serve a wide variety of mixed drinks using an extensive range of ingredients.
  • Orders, requisitions, and stocks all liquor, beverage and other bar supplies according to company standards.
  • Ability to perform Events Server functions as needed, including proper setup/reset of guest sitting areas, attending to guest needs; serve and make alcoholic beverages, ensuring that proper measurement and recipes are followed.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
  • Properly and thoroughly set-up all server areas and complete all opening, closing, and side work duties during shift.
  • Check identification to verify legal age (21) requirements for all guests.
  • Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies and procedures.
  • Abide by all control, regulations, laws, and procedures related to food/alcohol service, safety, and sanitation.
  • Must be able to cross-train in other F&B related areas.
