About The Position

Allied Universal Event Services is hiring part-time event security staff for its Game Day Event Team in Bloomington, Indiana. The role supports event preparation and execution at venues and helps create a safe, welcoming experience for guests. The position offers flexible scheduling, is described as suitable for people seeking work that fits around personal commitments, and pays $18 per hour. No prior experience is needed. Employees may assist with venue entry, ticket and credential checks, traffic direction, guest greetings, and providing directions or suggestions. Staff are expected to understand and follow the policies and procedures of the venues and events where they work. The role is part-time, with flexible scheduling under 30 hours per week; overtime may be needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• May be required to pass a driver's record check.
• Must be professional, articulate, and able to exercise good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of event-day preparation and execution.
• Support appropriate venue entry by collecting or scanning tickets and verifying wristbands and badges.
• Direct traffic entering and leaving the venue.
• Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
• Greet guests in a friendly and personal manner at entrances, aisles, concourses, or other assigned locations, and thank them after each interaction.
• Provide guests with helpful directions or suggestions to enhance their entertainment experience.
• Communicate with guests using a friendly tone and natural speaking voice.
