About The Position

Citadel Security USA is looking for dependable Unarmed Event Security Officers to assist with security coverage at events. Officers will help maintain an organized and secure setting while interacting professionally with guests, event personnel, vendors, and other members of the public. This position is a good fit for someone who stays alert in busy surroundings, communicates well with people, and can remain professional when handling large crowds or unexpected situations. Assignments may vary depending on event schedules and operational needs.

Requirements

• Ability to remain attentive during extended event assignments.
• Ability to exercise good judgment when responding to routine security concerns.
• Must satisfy applicable Colorado requirements for employment as an unarmed security officer.

Nice To Haves

• Previous security experience.
• Experience working at concerts, sporting events, festivals, venues, or other large gatherings.
• Background in customer service, hospitality, crowd management, or a similar public-facing role.
• Familiarity with access control, bag screening, or event security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active security presence in assigned event areas.
• Walk designated areas regularly and remain attentive to changing conditions.
• Check bags and personal items in accordance with event procedures.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and controlled-access locations.
• Verify that guests and other individuals are entering through authorized areas.
• Observe crowd activity and identify developing safety or security concerns.
• Address violations of event rules in a calm and professional manner.
• Assist with keeping restricted areas secure.
• Respond to disturbances, guest concerns, or other incidents and notify the appropriate supervisor when additional assistance is needed.
• Follow event-specific instructions, post orders, and company procedures throughout each assignment.
• Complete required activity notes, incident documentation, or other event records.
• Work cooperatively with event staff, supervisors, vendors, and fellow security officers.
• Provide courteous assistance and directions to guests when appropriate.
• Help maintain an environment that is safe, orderly, and welcoming.
