About The Position

Securitas is seeking professional and dependable Event Security Officers to help create safe and enjoyable experiences at concerts, festivals, sporting events, and other special events in Newport News, VA. If you enjoy working with people, staying alert, and being part of a team-oriented environment, this opportunity may be a great fit for you. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.

Requirements

Must be available to work every weekend
Must have a flexible schedule
Must have excellent Customer Service skills
Must pass our drug screen and background check
Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guard

Responsibilities

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
Actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations.
Preserves order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
Provides customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.
