About The Position
Citadel Security USA is seeking dependable and customer-focused Event Security Officers to support a variety of entertainment, sporting, corporate, and community events throughout the Denver metropolitan area. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in dynamic environments, interacting with the public, and helping create a safe and welcoming experience for guests. No two events are exactly alike, offering an opportunity to work in different venues while gaining valuable security and crowd management experience.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain professional in crowded or high-energy environments
- Reliable transportation to event locations throughout the Denver area
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong observation skills and situational awareness
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Eligibility to work in accordance with Colorado security industry requirements
Nice To Haves
- Event security, guest services, or crowd management experience
- Experience working concerts, festivals, sporting events, or public gatherings
- Knowledge of access control procedures
- Customer service or hospitality background
- Colorado Guard Card or ability to obtain one
Responsibilities
- Welcome attendees, vendors, and staff in a professional manner
- Provide directions and answer general event-related questions
- Assist guests while maintaining a positive customer service approach
- Support venue personnel during event entry, operation, and closing activities
- Conduct walking patrols throughout assigned event areas
- Observe crowd activity and identify potential safety concerns
- Monitor entrances, exits, restricted areas, and gathering points
- Assist with access control procedures and credential verification when required
- Perform bag inspections or screening activities in accordance with event guidelines
- Address minor disturbances using professional communication and de-escalation techniques
- Report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations
- Communicate concerns promptly to supervisors and event management
- Assist with emergency procedures and evacuation protocols when necessary
- Prepare accurate reports regarding incidents or unusual occurrences
