About The Position

Starfish Storage is seeking an Event Marketing Manager, referred to as an Experience Architect, to design and manage environments, systems, and experiences that foster relationship and business opportunity growth. This dynamic role involves end-to-end management of event marketing programs, including trade shows, executive dinners, partner events, client-facing programs, and internal offsites. The position also entails improving the operational infrastructure behind these programs, such as workflows, documentation, and systems to support a growing marketing team. The ideal candidate is curious, adaptable, proactive, comfortable with ambiguity, takes ownership, and improves systems. This role leads event marketing strategy and execution while owning the operational systems and processes for a scaling marketing organization.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in event marketing, event management, experiential marketing, hospitality, project management, or a related field
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder events, preferably within the technology industry
  • Strong organizational and operational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication across executive, sales, and client-facing audiences
  • Comfortable owning projects from planning through post-event wrap-up independently
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Gemini, and NotebookLM)
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRM systems, lead management, and event registration platforms
  • Familiarity with the technology, infrastructure, AI, research computing, or enterprise IT ecosystem

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of trade shows, executive dinners, workshops, networking receptions, client-facing programs, and internal events, including all logistics such as timelines, registrations, shipping, travel, venue communication, exhibitor requirements, signage, swag, and onsite execution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with strategic partners, understanding their programs and their connection to Starfish Storage's technology.
  • Evaluate event opportunities, structure joint participation, and collaborate with senior leadership on attendee strategy, sponsorship deliverables, and post-event follow-up.
  • Support lead management operations tied to events and trade shows, processing attendee lists, lead scanner exports, and post-event data for CRM entry.
  • Coordinate day-after and post-event follow-up workflows with Sales and Marketing.
  • Maintain clean, organized event data across internal systems.
  • Build and maintain scalable marketing workflows, templates, operational guides, and team wikis.
  • Identify inefficiencies in communication and execution and drive improvements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal marketing infrastructure and best practices.
