About The Position

Renaissance Shoals Resort and Spa is seeking an experienced Event Manager to plan and execute events at the resort. The role works closely with the sales team, hotel departments, and clients to ensure events are handled with care and attention to detail, from the initial consultation through the event and post-event follow-up. It is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment and has strong organizational skills and an interest in turning clients’ ideas into memorable experiences.

The Event Manager serves as the primary client contact, coordinates event operations across departments, manages room blocks and meeting space assignments, and oversees budgets and revenue opportunities. The position also addresses guest feedback and works to improve the overall event experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients from planning through post-event follow-up, providing clear communication and personalized service.
• Lead pre-event meetings, oversee Banquet Event Orders, manage timelines, and coordinate seamless execution across departments.
• Manage group room blocks, meeting space assignments, and event details using tools such as Marriott Global Source and Passkey.
• Monitor budgets, identify upselling opportunities, and ensure events meet client expectations and financial goals.
• Respond promptly to feedback, resolve issues, and seek ways to enhance the event experience.
