About The Position

We're hiring Event Crew to support concert tours, festivals and other live events in & around St. Louis. We provide labor to large and small venues throughout the Midwest and work with some of the biggest production companies in the business. This role involves supporting both general stagehands (loaders, pushers) and skilled stagehands (carpenters, electricians, audio, lighting & video technicians). Rhino Staging was founded in 1991 with a simple philosophy of doing things right and treating people well. Requirements

  • Ability to push, pull and lift at least 50 lbs. as required for equipment handling.
  • Ability to consistently walk, stand, bend, stoop & twist as required for on-site tasks.
  • Reliable source of transportation to get to and from event sites in a timely manner.
  • Must understand general industry terms and fundamental principles.
  • Must be willing to work varying stagehand level roles.
  • Must be willing to work indoors or outdoors under varying weather conditions.
  • Must be willing to work cohesively with teammates and supervisors.
  • Must wear appropriate attire and footwear for concert / corporate events as outlined in Rhino policies.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English to ensure the safe execution of tasks and coordination with crew and clients.
  • Must be 18 yrs of age or older.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior live event experience.
  • Open availability.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
  • Flexibility to travel throughout the MidWest market for additional work in Kansas City, OH and MI.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general stagehand duties including loading and pushing.
  • Perform skilled stagehand duties such as carpentry, electrical, audio, lighting, and video.
  • Receive, understand, and respond to safety-critical instructions in dynamic, high-risk environments.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers while working around heavy equipment, elevated structures, rigging, and rapidly changing conditions.
  • Perform essential communication functions using any effective method applicable to the task, with or without reasonable accommodation.
