About The Position

Secured Retirement (SRA), based in St. Louis Park, MN, is a privately held financial services firm specializing in retirement planning and investment strategies for individuals preparing for or enjoying retirement. As the Marketing & Events Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting SRA’s client prospecting through creative marketing and seamless event planning—including dinner seminars, radio promotions, and personal outreach. This role requires B2C marketing experience, lead conversion skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where new strategies are encouraged. You’ll coordinate all aspects of event logistics, copywriting, reservations, and follow-up, working closely with leadership to ensure every prospect has a stellar experience. An engaging personality and a passion for connecting with people are essential.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and process discipline.
  • At least 3 years of event planning experience, including managing meals and A/V equipment.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and familiarity with marketing & CRM technologies (e.g., Active Campaign, Jetpack).
  • Ability to quickly master key marketing tools and SEC compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of SRA dinner events, including targeted mailings, follow-up phone calls, event logistics (menus, room setup, A/V), and onsite greeting.
  • Develop and implement a lead generation follow-up program utilizing direct contact, text, drip emails, and printed materials.
  • Coordinate brand expansion efforts with the Marketing Coordinator.
  • Prepare, proofread, and format marketing collateral, correspondence, reports, and internal documents.
  • Deliver daily briefings and provide lead updates to the Client Services Team.
  • Track and report lead generation conversion data, and conduct regression analysis on leads that do not convert.
  • Draft, review, and proofread all company press releases.
  • Maintain professionalism while managing sensitive information and shifting priorities.
  • Uphold SEC marketing compliance by maintaining and storing all marketing records.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Advisor teams to enhance client experience.
