About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Community Impact and Engagement, the Event Coordinator will support the final planning and delivery of Sports Day The Girls' Way, with a primary focus on volunteer recruitment, training, coordination, and event-day execution. The Event Coordinator will serve as the lead for volunteer engagement and participant-facing operations, helping create a welcoming, organized, and empowering experience for all attendees. Sports Day The Girls’ Way is a one-day event designed to empower girls through sport and physical activity. Girls are less likely than their male peers to participate in and remain involved in sport due to barriers such as limited access, fewer opportunities, and a lack of visible female role models. Through a fun, inclusive, and welcoming environment, participants have the opportunity to try new sports, build confidence, make friends, connect with role models, and discover pathways to continued participation in sport.
