About The Position

Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is looking for an Event Coordinator to join the corporate team in our Phoenix, AZ location. This role involves creating web and registrations sites, managing event reporting and sourcing for meeting venues for a variety of complex and concurrent meetings and events. The ideal candidate will have excellent client service and project management skills with an emphasis on multi-tasking as well as great written and verbal communication skills. They are skilled at learning new software working in a fast-paced team environment with both internal colleagues and external vendors.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of related experience (event management, hospitality, or customer service).
  • Strong organization and follow-through; able to multitask with minimal daily supervision.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute multiple events simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and familiarity with event technology.
  • Working knowledge of meeting/event contracts; experience negotiating with vendors preferred.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and synthesis skills; able to communicate information clearly to varied audiences.
  • Willingness to travel 2–3 times per year.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a collaborative, service-oriented mindset.
  • Adaptable, with a consistent client-service focus in changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and build web and registration sites for multiple concurrent events in Cvent (training provided).
  • Source meeting venues and support contract review and execution.
  • Partner with event leads to manage attendee lists and registration site updates.
  • Research, evaluate, and communicate with vendors; interpret key contract terms.
  • Support additional team initiatives, including travel and event reporting, as needed.
