About The Position

Restaurant Associates is hiring on-call Event Catering Wait Staff for Ra Caters Phila in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. The position follows an on-call schedule, Monday through Friday, with hours that may vary. Staff may work at different venues, and the employer is willing to train. The fixed pay rate is $23.00 per hour.

The role involves assembling, delivering, setting up, and serving food and beverages to guests at on-premise and off-premise events. Duties include preparing event spaces and buffet displays, serving guests, maintaining cleanliness and food presentation, and completing venue closeout tasks.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Must meet applicable state and local health requirements for food handlers.

Nice To Haves

• Previous banquet serving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to scheduled locations.
• Arrange tables and decorations.
• Set buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to established standards.
• Serve food and beverages to guests.
• Clean and pack dishes and utensils.
• Return unserved food and beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the Commissary.
• Ensure display foods are attractively merchandised according to established standards.
• Handle food items appropriately during preparation.
• Serve food neatly and attractively according to established standards.
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
• Thoroughly clean the workstation before leaving for other assignments.
• Assist with food and table preparation before events.
• Serve plated dinners and respond to guest requests for beverages, appetizers, and other needs.
• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, open wine, and take drink orders.
• Clean the venue after events and assist with inventory, food storage, and other closeout tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
