About The Position

The Event Catering Wait Staff member assembles, delivers, sets up, and serves food and beverages to guests at on-premise and off-premise events. This is an on-call position at Warren Conference Center & Inn in Ashland, Massachusetts. Days and hours may vary, with further schedule details provided during the interview. Previous experience is not necessary; training is provided. The fixed pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Must meet applicable state and local health requirements for food handlers.
Previous experience is not necessary; willingness to train.

Responsibilities

Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to scheduled locations.
Arrange tables and decorations.
Set buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to established standards.
Serve food and beverages to guests.
Clean and pack dishes and utensils.
Return unserved food and beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the Commissary.
Ensure display foods are attractively merchandised according to established standards.
Handle food items appropriately during preparation.
Serve food neatly and attractively according to established standards.
Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
Thoroughly clean the workstation before leaving for other assignments.
Assist with food and table preparation before events.
Serve plated dinners and respond to guests’ requests for beverages, appetizers, and other needs.
Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, open wine, and take drink orders.
Clean the venue after events and assist with inventory, food storage, and other closeout tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
