About The Position

West View Healthy Living is a Christian-based, non-profit, continuing care senior community seeking a dedicated Evening & Weekend Supervisor. This role is responsible for facility oversight during off-hours and in the absence of Directors to ensure safety, compliance with rules and regulations, responsiveness, and appropriateness of the community. The objective is to maintain a high-quality care environment within a family atmosphere, guided by Christian values, moral integrity, and respect for individual diversity.

Requirements

  • Above average staffing ratios
  • Knowledge and practice of the policies and procedures are the responsibility of the Evening and Weekend Supervisor.
  • Communication is expected of all emergencies in house.
  • Drills will be conducted by the Evening and Weekend Supervisor as assigned by the Administrator or DON.
  • Serve as a point of contact for families and visitors.
  • Communicate serious grievances so directors may follow up and/or investigate issues.
  • Act as service recovery agent by being an active listener and resolving issues that can be controlled at the supervisory level and within your scope.
  • Timely communication to the senior leadership in an emergency in the community.
  • Accurate and objective end-of-shift reporting to the DON and Administrator regarding any operational incidents, clinical urgencies, and family concerns.

  • STNA care, feeding, documentation, switching between assignments, and anything else that is assigned by the DDS or DON.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular "rounds" to ensure the building is secure, clean, and common areas are well-maintained.
  • Assist with meeting resident needs, immediate housekeeping needs, mealtime assistance, and where practical and feasible by jumping into staffing.
  • Be present and available as a resource for staff, residents, and families.
  • Address immediate staffing gaps, ensuring all staff report to the appropriate unit/department.
  • Ensure non-clinical teams like housekeeping and dietary departments are performing their assigned duties.
  • Work closely via telephone with the Director of Development and Staffing to assist with flexing units, assignment management, and calling for coverage or jumping into staff to assist with coverage.
  • Provide STNA care, including ADL care, feeding, documentation, and switching between assignments as assigned by the DDS or DON.
  • Act as an "incident commander" for non-medical emergencies (fire, tornado, inclement weather, elopements) until senior leadership arrives.
  • Assist in clinical emergencies where needed.
  • Knowledge and practice of policies and procedures.
  • Communicate all in-house emergencies.
  • Conduct drills as assigned by the Administrator or DON.
  • Serve as a point of contact for families and visitors.
  • Communicate serious grievances to directors for follow-up and/or investigation.
  • Act as a service recovery agent by listening actively and resolving issues within the supervisory scope.
  • Provide timely communication to senior leadership in community emergencies.
  • Provide accurate and objective end-of-shift reporting to the DON and Administrator regarding operational incidents, clinical urgencies, and family concerns.
