About The Position

The Evening Custodian position at North Valley High School involves performing daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. This role requires working 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, for 260 days a year. The position offers a comprehensive benefit package and contributions to PERS retirement accounts. Bilingual and biliterate candidates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment in school housekeeping.
Ability to use cleaning methods, materials, and equipment with skill and efficiency.
Ability to exercise care in the use of cleaning materials for different types of building surfaces.
Skill in the use of electrical and hand appliances ordinarily used in housekeeping activities.
Ability to make minor repairs and adjustments to structures and equipment.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Physical strength to withstand the strain of performing eight hours of manual tasks.
High moral standards and character necessary for association with children.
Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff members, students and general public.
Ability to understand, interpret and follow instructions.
High School Diploma or GED Required.
Must be fingerprinted.
Pre-employment drug screening will be required.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in work relating to the care of school buildings and grounds.
Ability to use email.
