About The Position

At Regions, the Intern works on department assignments while learning more about the financial services industry. As a Regions Finance Development Program (FDP) Intern, you'll gain practical experience, expand your professional network, and develop the foundational skills needed for a successful career in finance. Regions Bank is seeking motivated and analytical students to join our Finance Development Program (FDP) Internship. During this 10-week summer experience, interns will gain hands-on exposure to the Finance organization while supporting projects that help drive business performance, financial planning, and strategic decision-making across the bank. Interns will be assigned to one of the following Finance functional areas: Corporate Treasury, Corporate Finance & Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, Investor Relations, Accounting.

Requirements

  • A college student who has interest in developing technical skills and gaining work experience
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week for 10 weeks
  • Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • A student currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Expected graduation between December 2027 and May 2029
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks during the summer in Birmingham, AL

Responsibilities

  • Receives exposure to all basic functions of assigned group within the financial industry
  • Exposed to a wide range of tasks including research, administrative and correspondence work and attend meetings
  • Provides assistance in projects
  • Gains valuable insight within a variety of functions while strengthening core skills and knowledge needed to launch a successful career
  • Responsibilities will vary by internship
  • Analyze financial and operational data to support business decision-making
  • Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities
  • Support strategic initiatives across Finance and other business units
  • Create reports, presentations, and analyses for key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with finance leaders and business partners across the organization
  • Participate in professional development and networking opportunities
  • Develop practical analytical, communication, and business skills through meaningful project work
