About The Position

Electrical Test operator takes care of all the operations need to electrically test the PCB including Open/Short test and TDR measurements and Troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the PCB industry, is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
  • Basic computer skills for operating machine controls.
  • Ability to use a microscope for inspection during most of the job time.
  • Good hand-eye coordination for rework tasks.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment based on OSHA and company Policies.
  • Able to lift 30 lb. No above-shoulder lifting.
  • <20 lb. when reaching, or precision placement is required

Nice To Haves

  • Know how to use a multimeter and its basic functions.
  • Knowledge of basic electronic components, such as resistors, capacitors, and inductors.
  • Knowledge of PCBs and some basic terminology used on PCBs.
  • Can identify a short or an open circuit.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload the machine with precision alignment.
  • Prepare and load flying-probe test files per customer data and engineering requirements.
  • Create and configure TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) measurement files for impedance testing.
  • Operate flying probe testers to perform continuity, isolation, and impedance tests on PCB panels.
  • Troubleshoot failed boards by analyzing test results and identifying true electrical defects versus test/program issues.
  • Able to read design blueprints and understand the CAM files for troubleshooting.
  • Mark and document faulty locations on panels for repair or further analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records of all testing activities, including results, failures, and re-tests, in the database/MES system.
  • Follow testing priorities and instructions provided by process engineers and supervisors.
  • Ensure all test equipment is functioning properly; perform basic maintenance and report issues promptly.
  • Keep the test area organized, clean, and compliant with safety and process standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement.
  • Support cross‑training efforts and carry out other tasks assigned by the supervisor to meet production needs.
