Requirements

Analyzes customer requirements, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services by performing the following duties.
Experience with CAD or similar software.
Demonstrates the behaviors of punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism towards supervisors and co-workers, and self-directed task completion.
Must be able to work collaboratively with co-workers.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.

Responsibilities

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Maintains a clean work area.
Must comply with all departmental SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), Employee Handbook Policies, including attendance, and all safety rules and standards.
Works normal shift hours and overtime as required.
Coordinates efforts as part of the team to assist all co-workers in all departments to maximize production efficiencies as needed.
Maintains a strong equipment and capabilities knowledge for project verification and planning.
Source material to initiate and oversee trials for new products/applications.
Recommends raw material substitutions to maximize product costs.
Validates pricing on Repeat Orders not kept on the Customer Price Sheets.
Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements.
Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness.
Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
Interfaces with other individuals in the organization to obtain support and commitment to the cost estimates.
Organizes and manages a centralized cost estimating database and a formal process to support cost estimating to ensure historical data is utilized.
Provides improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
