About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and labor cost structures.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or equivalent.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced estimating tools.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and cost reduction strategies.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management experience.
  • Previous experience working in a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand project requirements and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain databases of historical costs, vendor pricing, and labor rates to support accurate estimating.
  • Prepare and present detailed bid proposals and cost breakdowns to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Monitor project progress and update estimates as necessary to reflect changes in scope or market conditions.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all estimates.
