About The Position

The Estimator is responsible for reviewing assigned bid opportunities, interpreting drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and related contract documents, and preparing accurate, timely, and competitive cost estimates for fabrication projects. This role develops quantity takeoffs, labor and production assumptions, material and subcontractor pricing, bid qualifications, and final projected costs in coordination with operations, project management, vendors, and subcontractors to support profitable project awards and successful project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or business-related fields (strong preference to a graduate engineer with extensive business background training)
• Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in the midstream oil and gas and chemical industry and downstream markets, including business development and sales experience
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skill
• Must possess strong industry knowledge of target markets
• Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office application with the ability to learn and utilize specific estimating software
