About The Position
Under general supervision, the Cost Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates for product manufacturing to aid in bidding on or determining the price of a product. This role is within the Specialty Fabrication department.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Critical thinking skills
- Computer proficiency on a variety of office software packages.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- Exposure to industrial manufacturing processes preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review fabrication documents and understand scope of work.
- Obtain pricing for materials, sub-contract, and purchased components.
- Collect and analyze data to compute proper cost estimates for projects in the Specialty Fab department.
- Prepare estimates using Schebler's estimating software.
- Consult with project managers when needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
