About The Position

Lonestar Lighting and Technology is seeking an Estimator to work closely with the sales team to accurately estimate costs, revenue, and materials for electrical components and lighting on prospective residential and commercial construction projects. The Estimator partners with internal and external stakeholders, including general contractors, manufacturers, and representative agencies, to gather information and prepare project projections. The ideal candidate provides superior customer service and aims to exceed customer goals and expectations.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong interpersonal communication, critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills.
Time management skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Two or more years of experience in an estimator capacity is ideal.

Responsibilities

Assess project requirements, including time, labor, and material costs.
Read blueprints and analyze applicable documents to prepare estimates.
Prepare reports detailing the full scope of a lighting package for customer approval.
Calculate costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
Obtain and maintain current information on manufacturers’ pricing structures and recommend cost-reduction options where available.
Serve as the final authority in calculating, analyzing, and adjusting estimates.
Present estimates to clients in a timely and professional manner.
Assist the sales team with final project preparation transactions.
Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks as needed.
