About The Position

Teufel Landscape is seeking a motivated Estimator I to join our growing Washington Landscape Construction team in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in commercial construction estimating while working alongside experienced estimators on high-profile landscape construction projects.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
1–2 years of construction-related experience
Ability to read construction plans and specifications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Willingness to learn estimating software and construction estimating processes
Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screen

Nice To Haves

Experience in commercial construction, landscape construction, or civil construction
Familiarity with PlanSwift, Sage, or Timberline software
Coursework or training related to construction management, estimating, or engineering

Responsibilities

Assist with preparing bid packages and organizing project documentation
Review plans, specifications, addenda, and construction documents
Perform quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift software
Gather and organize vendor pricing and subcontractor quotes
Enter and maintain estimate information in Sage/Timberline
Maintain bid records, wage rates, vendor databases, and estimating files
Support project turnover documentation for awarded work
Verify takeoff quantities and assist with cost analysis
Follow company estimating processes, procedures, and standards
Maintain confidentiality of company and client information
Collaborate with estimators, project teams, and vendors to support successful bids
