About The Position

We're looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. You'll play a critical role in preparing accurate project estimates, reviewing plans and specifications, and collaborating with operations teams to help secure profitable projects. Requirements

  • 3+ years experience estimating residential or commercial construction projects
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents
  • Perform material takeoffs and quantity calculations
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
  • Assist in preparing competitive bid proposals and project budgets
  • Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Operations teams throughout the estimating process
  • Maintain estimating databases, pricing information, and historical project costs
  • Meet bid deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Estimate work to include: concrete, masonry, framing, trim, insulation, drywall, siding, landscape and irrigation
