About The Position

This position will be responsible for preparing, communicating and tracking all quoting activities both internally and externally.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Engineering or other relevant field (or a combination of education and relevant work experience)
• 4+ years’ experience working in similar position at manufacturing company
• Previous machining or relevant technical experience
• Previous experience in customer interfacing position
• Ability to write professionally for multiple outlets that conform to prescribed style and format
• Ability to verbally communicate effectively
• The ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• The ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule for
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Visio)
• Experience with ERP system

Responsibilities

• Respond to RFQ’s in a timely manner
• Communicate with Sales, Engineering and Supply Chain to gather information needed to quote jobs
• Prepare documents needed for Quote Review
• Retrieve outside sourcing quotes as needed for Quote Review
• Schedule Quote Review with senior management and follow up as needed
• Complete Quote Entry and communication of final quote to customer prior to deadline
• Maintain database of quotes
• Track jobs won/lost and report to Management on a regular basis
• Trend jobs won/lost to improve accuracy of quoting process
• Communicate new jobs/customers to company keeping all informed
• Understand external market trends and use data when quoting
• Understand internal financial resource and use data when quoting
