About The Position

The Ghoman Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team in Indianapolis. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction, renovation, and hospitality-related projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of construction methods and materials, and the ability to work closely with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure competitive and accurate project bids.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience in commercial construction, hospitality, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, or similar platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project requirements.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and develop comprehensive pricing proposals.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Analyze labor, material, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and vendors throughout the estimating process.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate estimating records, bid documentation, and project files.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and value engineering initiatives.
  • Stay current with market pricing, construction trends, and industry best practices.
