About The Position

We are looking for a detail-oriented Estimator / Product Quoting Specialist to prepare accurate quotes for laminated sheet products. Most requests include 5 to 10 product configurations, each with 4 to 5 components to identify and cost. This role reviews customer requests, confirms material and labor costs, obtains vendor pricing when needed, and prepares clear customer estimates. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate with numbers, comfortable with spreadsheets, and able to clarify specifications with vendors and internal teams.

Requirements

• Experience in estimating, quoting, purchasing, or project coordination preferred.
• Strong spreadsheet skills, especially Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
• Comfortable working with product configurations, material lists, pricing tables, and vendor quotes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
• Ability to interpret written product specifications and ask clarifying questions.
• Clear communication skills with customers, vendors, and internal team members.
• Ability to manage multiple quote requests and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with wood products, veneer, laminate, sheet goods, cabinetry, millwork, furniture, manufacturing, or building materials is a strong plus.
• Careful, organized, and dependable.
• Comfortable with repetitive pricing work while catching unusual details.
• Good at spotting missing information before it causes quoting or production issues.
• Practical and curious enough to learn material differences, veneer terminology, and our pricing process.
• Able to balance speed, accuracy, and follow-up.
• Eager to learn different areas of the business.
• Basic familiarity with AI tools is a plus.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, construction, or shipping is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review customer quote requests, project plans and product configurations.
• Look up stock material and labor costs.
• Interpret custom material specifications and request vendor quotes when needed.
• Compare and organize vendor pricing.
• Identify missing, unclear, or conflicting information.
• Coordinate with sales, production, purchasing, and vendors on scope, materials, lead times, and pricing.
• Prepare accurate customer quotes with clear assumptions and supporting details.
• Maintain estimate records, vendor pricing, quote history, and spreadsheet inputs.
• Help improve quoting accuracy, consistency, and speed.
