About The Position

The Spa at Chetola Resort is hiring professional, experienced Estheticians as part-time W-2 employees. The role provides facial, waxing, and other skincare treatments in a tranquil luxury resort setting, with the goal of giving guests a personalized, restorative experience. Estheticians assess guests’ skincare needs, recommend appropriate treatments and home-care products, and deliver services according to spa protocols and state licensing standards. The schedule is part-time, demand-based, and varies with business levels. Services are generally scheduled from late morning through early evening; operating hours may extend until 7:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and until 6:00 PM Sunday through Thursday. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Estheticians help maintain treatment-room readiness, sanitation, equipment, and product standards; communicate guest needs and operational issues to spa leadership; promote services and retail products; and collaborate with the spa team. The position requires an active North Carolina Esthetician License and the ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.

Requirements

Active North Carolina Esthetician License in good standing.
Strong knowledge of skincare techniques, including facials, extractions, and waxing services.
Ability to analyze skin conditions and recommend suitable treatments and home-care solutions.
Ability and willingness to learn Chetola’s treatment protocols and product lines.
Required availability to work weekends and holidays.
Ability to work a flexible, part-time, demand-based schedule aligned with variable spa operating hours.
Ability to work late-morning through early-evening shifts based on guest demand and booking volume.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn spa booking and point-of-sale systems.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
Professional, dependable, service-oriented approach with strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of esthetics experience is preferred.
Resort or luxury spa experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide professional facial, waxing, and skincare treatments according to spa protocols and state licensing standards.
Complete services within the allotted appointment time, starting and finishing promptly.
Create a calm, welcoming, personalized environment for each guest.
Assess guests’ skincare needs and recommend appropriate treatments, enhancements, wellness solutions, and home-care products.
Apply knowledge of skin physiology, facial massage, extractions, and safe waxing techniques.
Educate guests about skincare routines, wellness practices, and home-care product use.
Respond to guest questions, concerns, and requests professionally, courteously, and promptly.
Promote spa services, treatments, retail offerings, home-care programs, and packages; meet or exceed retail sales goals.
Prepare treatment rooms before appointments and clean, sanitize, and restock them afterward.
Follow sanitation, sterilization, and safety standards under state law and spa policies.
Care for and properly use spa equipment and tools, and use appropriate product amounts to support cost control.
Communicate guest concerns, service issues, and operational needs to spa leadership in a timely manner.
Maintain a positive, supportive, team-oriented work environment while working independently and collaboratively.
Attend and participate in training, team meetings, and ongoing education.
Support overall spa operations and assist in other areas as requested by management.
