About The Position

An ESP Application Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) systems to meet production goals in various oil and gas operations.

Requirements

  • Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the company’s TRIR goals.
  • Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals.
  • Complete, and actively participate in all the company’s Safety Skills training requirements
  • Bachelors in Engineering or related subject required
  • Broad knowledge of well completion forming a background for troubleshooting failures and providing technician support.
  • Valid driver license
  • Excellent people and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • A combination of the requirements that may also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing well performance data, adjusting ESP design parameters, and fine-tuning operations to improve system efficiency, extend run life, and reduce downtime.
  • Leading and mentoring engineering teams, providing technical guidance, and offering training to junior engineers on ESP design, troubleshooting, and field operations.
  • Collaborating with customers to solve operational challenges, recommending system improvements, and ensuring ESP systems meet specific well conditions and production targets.
  • Conducting performance assessments using software tools and field data to ensure ESP systems operate at peak efficiency.
  • Other duties as specified by supervisor and conduct related work, as necessary.
