About The Position

EF is seeking passionate and enthusiastic ESL Teachers for their Summer 2025 program in Pasadena, CA. This role involves planning, preparing, and delivering the EF academic program through structured and interactive lessons, ensuring a high level of customer service and student satisfaction. The program offers young learners the opportunity to spend 2-4 weeks in North America, improving their English language skills while participating in a full-activity program including sports, parties, and excursions.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent experience.
• TEFL certificate or equivalent.
• Complete fluency in English.
• Experience in the field of education.
• Attend training before your contract commences.
• Have the right to live and work in the country of employment.
• Applicants must be age 21 or older, due to the nature of the role working with minors.

Responsibilities

• Teaching classes every weekday following the EF methodology.
• Lesson planning and preparation before each class.
• Classroom management.
• Facilitating testing during the course, including marking tests.
• Monitoring daily attendance and keeping up-to-date records and paperwork.
• Attending all teacher meetings.
• Monitoring student progress and personal goals to help them in their language improvement.
• Ensuring the EF behavior code is always followed by students and informing management immediately if there are any issues or problems.
• Dealing with problems and emergency situations should they arise.
